Hold on! It’s not a metro identifying itself as a lady! This is a stroke of marketing genius from Maybelline.



First let’s introduce Maybelline. it’s an American manufacturer of cosmetic and beauty products currently owned by the French company L’Oréal.


The brand is reputed by her marketing mix, which consist of using different marketing strategy for branding and promoting variety of products to different people.

For exemple using:

  • Product strategy, focusing more on young girls to ensure they have access to a variety of products designed for them.

  • Place strategy, asserting their presence in all markets by being present in 129 countries, and also taking profit from the increasing female spending power in India and preference for quality products.

  • Promotion Strategy, using brand promotions and user-generated content on social media platforms.


Maybelline's marketing team knows that the market is crowded with competitors, and that it's hard to stand out and be noticed among all this brands. But, if you are creative enough you can take your brand promotion to the higher level.

And that's how they took a new heigh with their video showing a clever advertising campaign involving glamorous public transport in London, which went viral on TikTok with over 800k likes. And the most interesting comments were from people saying 'I can't believe they did that!', and in the reality they didn't, the physical campaign didn't exist.


Maybelline did a CGI Marketing campaign! Yes I said CGI! Sorry to disappoint you but it wasn't real, It’s a Computer-generated imagery (CGI), a modern tool in advertising that bring more creativity to the market.


Usually used for movies, It’s one of the best technologies that involves the creation of realistic-looking images.
